This side is about the Band and People.

I ve been in marching band for about 2 years now and ive gotten to know the people and their enjoyment in the program. My First Year, we went to 3 contests: Enka, Land of the Sky, Swain, Marron Devil Classic, and Alcoa. We recived a rating of Good, Division III, and a 2nd place guard trophy at Enka. We also recived a 5 year perticipation plaque. At Swain, we recicived an Excellent, 3rd in class A, and 1st place guard. Alcoa was our best performance, and we recived an Excellent rating.

One Year Later, We headed to Enka again, along with Pisgah, and those were our only 2 contests. We also traveled to BoA in the Atlants Georgia Dome. Our football team won the SMC, first time since 1997. But we were knocked out of the confrence by rosman, whcih we had destroyed earlier in the season.

My first year, the theme was Seasame Street. The songs were: Seaseme Street, Rubber Duckie/Put Down the Duckie, People in your Neighborhood, and One Small Voice. We were critized so much for that show. The football players, cheerleaders, students at the school, everyone NOT a Band parent, hated it. We had boxes with numbers and letters on them for props on the feild, and the Xylophone had diffrent colored hand prints on a black skirt, thanks to the guard. At Alcoa, Lauren Honsinger, missed a step on the bus, and feel and hit her head. She was out of it the rest of the day.

One year later, we Showcased our new theme, a 60's show. Everybody said that it was a huge improvment, and we really enjoyed it. The songs were: Devil with a Blue Dress, Five O'Clock World, Cherish, and Little Bit O'Soul. OMG, Everyone Got up and shook their bodys to the music, and one night, we played the fight song after the show, and everyone in the stands was clapping to the beat, even though they were off beat occasionally.

This Side is about the people, what they play, and grade level.
